This is part of larger artistic structure in Ottawa Park! It's a really nice art based park that borders the Cheboygan River very close to where it connects with Lake Huron!

This reminds me of Bottle Village in Simi Valley. An eccentric woman built a number of odd buildings on her property (to house her collections of, well, everything, dolls' heads, pencils . . .) out of bottles and cement. The ground there looks like this photo. It was declared a historic landmark after it was damaged in an earthquake. It's amazing (and wacky) to see!

How close do you live to the river ro the lake?

I don't like mosaics. I had one for a project in 4th grade and never finished it. I brought home a D and got a whipping. Anyway, I never liked mosaics after that.

This reminds me of mosaics I've seen in Taos. There's a ton, except most of them are hidden in strange places like on steps or foundations of buildings.

I would love to see that landmark! I live about 3 miles from the Cheboygan River, and it flows directly into Lake Huron which is about 4 miles from my house. Cheboygan was built around the lake and river! We also have a zillion inland lakes near her too. If I stepped out my front door and faced any direction I would I'd be just a few miles from water. I hope you are having a good week! (:
